I see the beauty within my soul, the face that I see, it's the woman in me

A woman is often measured by the things she can not control. She is measured by the way her body curves or doesn't curve, by where she is flat or straight or round. She is measured by 36-24-36 and inches and ages and numbers, by all the outside things that don't ever add up to who she is on the inside. And so if a woman is to be measured, let her be measured by the things she can control, by who she is and who she is trying to become. Because as every woman knows, measurements are only statistics...and statistics lie.

**This was taken from one of my favourite Nike ads, which was originally published years ago. I can remember seeing it in a magazine when I was about 10 years old. At that time, I clipped it out and stuck it on my bulletin board. I have held on to it and kept its message in my head ever since.**

Life would be so much easier if Marilyn was still the beauty standard.

I agree that a woman shouldn't be judged by her natural FRAME, but I think it's perfectly acceptable to judge people for the way their bodies look. It is important to take care of yourself and physical health and respect for one's body is attractive to either sex.

In my opinion, the sexiest woman of all time.

That paragraph is so true! I hate fashion sizing and all those other parts of the fashion industry. What's interesting though is that Marilyn was a size 12 at the time but now, due to fashion sizing, that's a size 8 from most brands. Crazy, huh?
