Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin', all cool

One of my favourite looks for this summer (...if we actually get some real summer weather in Vancouver this year, that is...) is the floor skimming maxi dress. Fun, flowing and feminine, the maxis have a very old school, boho-chic feel about them. When worn in light, breezy fabrics and beautiful prints, they’re the perfect thing to cover up in this summer. It's the first time in several seasons that a genuinely new silhouette has emerged, which is quite refreshing. As the perfect antidote to last season's shorts and sky-high hemlines, the maxi dress (and skirt, see Rachel Bilson below, right) is poised to be a wardrobe staple during the sunny months. Now I just need the sunshine to come back so that I can wear mine.

Rachel and I are fretting because we aren't sure about wearing them on our short frames! I love them though...

Oh I need to find my own maxi dress, I think they are wonderful and I especially like simple white ones like Kiera and bohemian ones like Kate's. They're wonderful!
