This woman is all the way vogue

Twenty8Twelve
named for Sienna Miller’s birthday, is the new line that everybody’s talking about. Looking like she fell out of the 1950’s in a red bodysuit and leopard scarf, Sienna Miller launched her new clothing line with sister Savannah at an intimate party at Bergdorf Goodman during New York Fashion Week. I have been greatly anticipating the launch of this line because Sienna has certainly been a style idol of mine for a while. And in case you were worried that Twenty8Twelve by s. miller is only for willowy stars like Sienna herself, you can relax because she claims that’s not the case. “Throughout the collection we’ve really covered all different ages, all different body types. It’s really fashionable clothes for all different sorts of confident women.” Savannah, the older and taller of the sisters, says that “We both bring something very different to the line, and working together we complement each other. We get along very well. We know each other very well so it’s never a conflict. It’s a really good time to spend time together doing something we both love so it’s great.” According to Savannah, the line draws its inspiration from London and includes tailored wool jackets and trousers, Empire line silk smock dresses,, skinny jeans, and silk and jersey tops. It will retail from about $75 for a silk jersey tank to $650 for a leather jacket. The Millers' line will be sold at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in the U.S., Holt Renfrew in Canada and Harvey Nichols and Matches in the U.K.

There are well-cut coats with pleated skirts, lovely blouses done in collaboration with artist David Cooper who designed the print, and fantastic jeans with zips up the back that were the idea of Sienna. Best of all, the pricing is really reasonable.

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. A fashion that does not reach the street is not a fashion."
-Coco Chanel

The knack for good personal style is a gift. Sienna Miller has the ability to put things together that look perfectly imperfect. She mixes designer with vintage impeccably. Fashion and style are such a form of self expression. Outfits are little masterpieces. I really get Sienna Miller's fashion philosophy. She is a girl after my own heart when it comes to choosing what to wear. I am definitely a fan of Twenty8 Twelve. I think it has its own signature look and shows creativity. I can't wait to see more of the pieces in this collection.

I think what's really interesting about fashion and art to me can be summed up by that:

>> put things together that look perfectly imperfect

What is truly eye catching and innovative is normally unconventional, and thus imperfect at the same time considering that we typically define our notions of such by the already established norms of our society.

I have noticed the same doing web designs and photography. I do my absolute best work when I just don't care -- when I'm just playing with something because it's fun and I'm not thinking of anyone eventually seeing it.

Then again there are some amazing artists who can simply frame everyday things. My assumption is that it works because they are placing focus on things that are obvious, but have a tendency to be overlooked because they are so.

Yeah! :D
